The Bitter Truth Pink Gin
The Bitter Truth began its activity in 2006 and has since then become an irreplaceable cocktail component of the bartenders. The Bitter Truth has gained recognition in international competitions. Only natural herbs are used for making the bitter. German grains have been used in the distillation of gin.
The colour of Pink Gin is pale pink. The pink colour of the gin comes from the wild angelica roots and bitters which have been used in making the gin. Red food colorant E129 has been added so that the light would not influence the colour of the gin.
The aroma is characterised by juniper berries and citruses. In addition to juniper berries, one can smell dried coriander and rosemary with fennel. Dried orange zest is added to the end of the aroma. The taste is dry and vividly herbal. Juniper berries and liquorice can be tasted together with cumin and fennel which is supported by a bunch of different sweet spices. The aftertaste is long-term and vivid and complemented by the bitter taste of the apricot pit.
